The Nitecore EDC27 UHi Ultra Slim Tactical EDC Flashlight is a revolutionary lighting tool that sets new standards in the realm of tactical flashlights. This model is designed to combine ultra-slim construction with exceptional performance, featuring high-precision UHi LEDs that deliver remarkable brightness and long-range illumination. The EDC27 UHi is engineered to meet the needs of professionals and enthusiasts who require a reliable, high-performance flashlight in a compact form factor.
At the heart of the EDC27 UHi are two high-precision UHi 20 LEDs, which are perfectly matched with a round, metal orange-peel reflector. This design ensures outstanding brightness and efficient light distribution. The flashlight boasts a maximum output of 3100 lumens and a beam throw of 305 meters, an improvement of approximately 38.6% over previous generations. This makes the EDC27 UHi the top choice for those seeking superior performance in an ultra-slim flashlight.
Weighing only 122 grams (4.30 ounces), the EDC27 UHi is constructed from high-strength stainless steel, providing excellent resistance to heavy pressure and bending. The surface is treated with a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) titanium coating, which enhances durability and offers resistance to scratches and fingerprints. The structural integrity is further reinforced by front and rear stainless steel shells, fused with a high-strength carbon fiber composite frame and secured by six sets of connector bolts. This construction ensures that the flashlight is lightweight yet rigid, capable of resisting compression, twisting, and bending.
Designed with tactical applications in mind, the EDC27 UHi features dual tail buttons at different heights for easy identification and intuitive operation. This allows users to quickly select the desired brightness level. The MODE button offers quick access to STROBE READY and TURBO modes, both delivering the maximum output of 3100 lumens for rapid tactical responses. This design ensures that the flashlight can be operated efficiently in high-pressure situations.
The EDC27 UHi is equipped with an energy-efficient OLED display that provides real-time information on lumens, battery voltage, remaining runtime, and more. A new addition to the OLED display is the power remaining indicator, which uses a dynamic progress bar to show real-time availability and recovery times for TURBO and STROBE modes. This feature enhances the user experience by providing precise information on the flashlights performance and power status.
A notable feature of the EDC27 UHi is its level preset function, which allows users to set their preferred brightness level before turning on the flashlight. This function is particularly useful for advanced tactical operations, providing precise illumination in the dark. For everyday use, the ability to preset the brightness level prevents the discomfort of unexpectedly bright light, ensuring a more comfortable user experience.
The EDC27 UHi is powered by a built-in 1700mAh Li-ion battery, offering up to 55 hours of runtime. This long-lasting battery life ensures that the flashlight remains functional for extended periods, making it suitable for prolonged use in various situations. The flashlight also features a sensor protection function, IP54 dust and water resistance, and can withstand drops from up to one meter, making it a robust and reliable tool for diverse environments.
In terms of technical specifications, the EDC27 UHi utilizes two NiteLab UHi 20 LEDs with a maximum output of 3100 lumens and a peak beam intensity of 23,500 cd. The flashlight measures 135.3 mm in length and has a head size of 31.4 mm, with a total weight of 122 grams. The built-in 1700mAh Li-ion battery provides the necessary power for its high-performance output and extended runtime.
The EDC27 UHi features advanced technologies that enhance its performance and user experience. The precision metal orange-peel reflector offers both long-range and wide-angle illumination, ensuring versatile lighting capabilities. Advanced Power Cut Off (APC) technology ensures ultra-low standby power consumption, while the highly efficient constant current circuit provides stable output for up to 55 hours. These technologies ensure that the flashlight delivers consistent and reliable performance in various conditions.
The dual tail switches enable intuitive operations, with five brightness levels and one special mode available. The STROBE READY technology allows for quick access to strobe mode, which uses randomly changing frequencies to produce stronger dizzying effects for tactical applications. The built-in Li-ion battery charging circuit, equipped with a USB-C port, ensures convenient and efficient recharging.
The EDC27 UHi also incorporates an intelligent mode memory function, allowing users to quickly return to their previous settings. Two lockout modes, Semi Lockout Mode and Full Lockout Mode, are available to prevent accidental activation. The Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module manages the flashlights heat, ensuring safe operation by adjusting the output according to the ambient temperature.
Constructed from high-strength stainless steel with a PVD titanium coating, the EDC27 UHi is designed to withstand the toughest conditions. Its waterproof and dustproof rating in accordance with IP54, combined with impact resistance to one meter, ensures that the flashlight performs reliably in harsh environments.
In conclusion, the Nitecore EDC27 UHi 3100 Lumen Ultra Slim Flat EDC Flashlight is a high-performance, versatile lighting tool that excels in both tactical and everyday applications. Its advanced LED technology, robust construction, and user-friendly features make it an ideal choice for those who demand the best from their flashlights.
