Crafted with an emphasis on sustainability and high-performance design, the Solar Ultra is packed with technical features and constructed using recycled materials. It reflects a commitment to responsible innovation without compromising functionality. Lightweight ,fast-drying and durable, the Solar Ultra 3 is enhanced by heat-reflective TILT technology to deliver impressive warmth for its weight. Its narrow, tapered mummy silhouette helps to cut bulk and shed excess weight, making it a prime companion for those swift, minimalist adventures in wintery, alpine settings.

With a triple-layer construction of 100% recycled Stratus Eco insulation shaped in a concertina-style layout, the Solar Ultra replicates the benefits of down while remaining feather-free. The integrated TILT technology helps limit radiant heat loss by up to 15%, significantly enhancing thermal efficiency without adding weight or compromising breathability and packability. Internally, elasticated quilting draws both insulation and lining closer to the body, reducing cold air gaps. Meanwhile, localised quilting minimises the stitching that secures the insulation, helping to prevent the formation of cold spots.

Equipped with a three-quarter-length main zip and an insulated baffle to stop warmth escaping, it also features an adjustable neck baffle for a secure, heat-trapping fit. Finished with a hardwearing 20D recycled polyester Atmos outer, this sleeping bag stands out as a premier synthetic option for alpine pursuits, as well as lightweight cycling or backpacking journeys.

Features

• The outer is made from 20D Atmos recycled nylon ripstop fabric (38 gsm) with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish for water resistance.
• The lining features 20D Atmos recycled polyester ripstop fabric (41gsm) with fluorocarbon-free DWR for added breathability and comfort.
• A polyester scrim with an aluminium coating (15gsm) enhances thermal performance via TILT technology.
• The upper includes a triple-layer construction of recycled Stratus synthetic sheet insulation (180gsm/180gsm/60gsm) for optimal loft and warmth.
• The base is insulated with a dual-layer blanket construction (100 gsm/100 gsm) of recycled Stratus for balanced warmth and compressibility.
• TILT scrim technology on the upper interior helps reduce radiant heat loss for increased efficiency.
• Triple-layer concertina insulation on the upper improves loft and enhances thermal retention.
• Internal elasticated quilting pulls the insulation closer to the body, helping to eliminate cold spots.
• Offset localised quilting is strategically positioned to reduce heat loss via stitching lines.
• The hood is designed with reduced volume to better retain warmth around the head.
• A close-fitting, adjustable neck baffle is included to reduce heat escape at the top of the bag.
• A YKK three-quarter-length main zip is fitted with a synthetic insulated baffle to retain warmth.
• The YKK zip also includes an anti-snag insert and internal zip guard to prevent snagging during use.
• A compression stuff sack is provided for easy packing and efficient storage.
• Both the outer and lining are made from 100% recycled polyester for eco-conscious durability.
• The bag follows a tapered mummy shape to further optimise heat retention and reduce weight.

Specifications

Technology

TILT (Thermo Ionic Lining Technology)

This innovative heat-retention technology functions similarly to an emergency blanket, reflecting body heat back towards the wearer while still allowing breathability and comfort. By enhancing thermal efficiency, it provides essential warmth when temperatures drop significantly.

Stratus

Designed to deliver exceptional performance in icy temperatures and wet conditions, Stratus is a highly efficient synthetic insulation that provides warmth, durability, and rapid drying capabilities. Lightweight yet effective, it is an ideal choice for tackling the demands of a mountain ascent.

Atmos

Designed for mountain adventures, Atmos offers exceptional weather protection while remaining packable and quick-drying. Crafted with ultra-fine yarns in a tightly woven construction, it delivers impressive durability, high water resistance, and reliable windproof performance.
