500 summits, 200 walks, 342 pages.... are you ready for a challenge?
From the 4411 foot summit of Ben Nevis (Scotland) to the 2477 ft Knockanaffrin (Ireland); the highest 500 summits of Britain have finally found themselves compiled in a book together. Thousands of people have climbed a handful of these summits, very few have climbed them all. Barry K Smith is one of these few.
The Top 500 Summits is the result of Smith's personal hillwalking journey over all 500 summits and spanning 50 years - one man's quest to climb pretty much everything in Britain. It's not quite a guidebook, although it does give excellent guidance on how to climb them, as well as Smith's experiences.
Whether you dip in and out or read cover-to-cover, you'll find inspiration for a lifetime of hillwalking within the pages of this book.
